Full Registration for one individual for Saturday and Sunday, August 31 - September 1, 2024
This workshop will cover all the details for efficiently and effectively gathering wild prickly pear fruit and processing it for juice. The instructor has been gathering and juicing prickly pear fruit for 20 years and has a great deal of information to share.
Everyone will be able to gather their own prickly pear fruit to juice or prepare in any way they’d like.
We’ll also meet and taste several different wild edible plants in season (both at low and mid-elevation), learn all about them from a forager’s perspective, and we’ll complete our weekend together with a modest wild foods feast.
Location is Tucson, AZ. Public lands camping is available within 45 minutes or less of class locations (different for Saturday and Sunday).
Class is scheduled from 6:30a-2p, both days.
